Owner of Construction Co. Arrested in Payroll Fraud Scheme

The Florida Department of Financial Services announced that Julio Enrique Maldonado was arrested for allegedly concealing payroll information for his construction company to avoid paying more than $193,000 in workers’ compensation premiums. Maldonado did business as G.G.M. Construction LLC. He claimed to have $120,000 in annual payroll resulting in work comp premiums of $15,780.
