The California Department of Insurance announced that an employee for a farm labor company was charged with two felony counts of insurance fraud for allegedly lying about her physical limitations from a work injury. Veronica Cataline Cortes-Ambrosio, 53, injured her right shoulder, neck and back in May 2017 when she was struck with a gardening tool. She received initial treatment, but her comp claim was denied.
