An actress who was injured on set is trying to sue a California movie studio for $55 million in civil court, according to a report by the New York Daily News.
Paz de la Huerta received workers' compensation benefits for injuries she sustained after being hit by an ambulance being driven by a stuntman while filming the movie Nurse 3D in Canada in October 2011.
A complaint she filed against Lionsgate in New York was dismissed in February 2015 by a judge who said workers' compensation was her exclusive remedy.
