Oregon’s Management-Labor Advisory Committee will review three workers’ compensation bills and data relating to claims for COVID-19 during a Feb. 5 meeting.
Committee members will discuss House Bill 2915, which would extend to police and firefighters in Portland a presumption that heart and lung diseases are compensable. MLAC in 2020 endorsed a similar measure that was never scheduled for a hearing in the Senate after the House voted 58-1 to pass it.
