The California Division of Workers’ Compensation would be required to update the Medical-Legal Fee Schedule every year, under a bill introduced in the Assembly.
Another measure introduced Wednesday would revise various laws relating to medical treatment by imposing new requirements on medical provider networks, prohibiting contracts that pay providers less than the fee schedule rate and creating a $1,000 penalty for failing to reimburse the independent bill review fee when a provider prevails in a payment dispute.
