Workers' compensation prescription drug costs dropped almost 10% last year and the trend is likely to continue, according to an annual survey of 29 insurers, self-insured employers and third-party administrators.
The report from CompPharma, a pharmacy management research firm headed by consultants Joe Paduda and Helen King Patterson, shows that in the last eight years, drug costs have dropped more than 31%, saving payers about $1.1 billion.
