A federal jury in Massachusetts has found that a contractor illegally retaliated against an employee who reported a work injury, awarding $650,000 in damages, the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration announced.
The verdict stems from a lawsuit the Department of Labor filed against Tara Construction Inc. and its chief executive officer, Pedro Pirez, in February 2019 following an OSHA whistleblower investigation.
