A federal judge has granted a motion to stay proceedings in a lawsuit challenging the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s electronic reporting rule, scheduled to take effect on July 1.
The defendants, who include the U.S. Department of Labor and labor secretary, now have until July 5 to file a proposed summary judgment briefing schedule and to respond to a motion by union groups to intervene in the case.
Judge Sam Lindsay in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas issued the order on April 3.
