The National Council on Compensation Insurance is recommending a 2.7% decrease in loss costs, effective Aug. 28, due to the adoption of a drug formulary.
NCCI analyzed the impact of the Tennessee Bureau of Workers' Compensation's adoption last month of both the treatment guidelines and formulary in the Work Loss Data Institute's Official Disability Guidelines. However, its researchers were unable to estimate the potential savings of the treatment guidelines, saying only that they "have the potential to save costs."
