Emergency Rules on Remote Med-Legal Evaluations Extended to Oct. 12

The California Division of Workers’ Compensation announced that emergency regulations allowing medical-legal evaluations using telehealth services were extended through Oct. 12. The rules, which also modify some med-legal deadlines, were set to expire Friday. Under the emergency rules, the deadline to schedule or reschedule a medical-legal exam is extended to 90 days from the normal 60 days.
