Cases that were postponed from June because of the pandemic will now be set for August to help avoid a backlog, the North Carolina Industrial Commission said in a bulletin.
Deputy commissioners also will attempt to schedule July docketed cases for August as they continue to adjust to the changes wrought by the coronavirus pandemic and its social distancing requirements. Most mediations and deputy commissioner hearings are being held through video or telephone conference platforms, although parties can request in-person proceedings.
