A committee in the California Assembly unanimously passed a bill that would require the Contractors State License Board to report on violations of work comp coverage requirements.
The Assembly Committee on Business and Professions on Tuesday voted 16-0 to pass SB 291, by Sen. Tim Grayson, D-Concord, which would require the CSLB to include in its annual report to lawmakers the number of disciplinary actions against uninsured contractors.
