California employers, on average, paid $2.38 per $100 of payroll for workers’ compensation coverage in the first three months of the year, according to a first quarter report published by the Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau.
The industry average charged rate fell 5.9%, from $2.52 last year, to the lowest level since 2012, when employers paid an average of $2.50.
