Written premium and average charged rates for the first nine months of 2024 were both about 1% higher than they were in the first nine months of 2023, the Workers' Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau said in its third quarter 2024 experience report.
Written premium through the end of September was $12.3 billion, compared to $12.1 billion for the same period in 2023.
The WCIRB also said written premium increased to $15.9 billion in 2023 from $15.7 billion in 2022, as payroll growth exceeded the impact of continued moderate insurer rate decreases.
