Presumption Bill for Firefighters Given First Reading in House

Six lawmakers in the Georgia House of Representatives have filed a presumption bill for firefighters with identical provisions to a bill already filed in the Senate. House Bill 216 would give firefighters a rebuttable presumption that certain medical conditions are occupational diseases contracted in the line of duty.
