The South Carolina Court of Appeals ruled that a firefighter could pursue a civil suit for personal injuries he suffered in a collision with a sheriff’s deputy as they responded to an emergency call. Case: Lampley v. Hulon, No. 5798, 02/03/2021, published. Facts: Christopher Lampley worked for Dillon County as a firefighter. He was responding to a call about a house fire when his vehicle collided with one operated by a Dillon County deputy sheriff who was also responding.
