The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration on Friday announced a proposed rule that would modify the agency’s recent beryllium standards for the construction and shipyard industries.
The proposal comes after representatives of the shipyard and construction industries, and some members of Congress, said they didn’t have enough opportunity to comment on the rule was when it was developed in 2015-16, according to OSHA.
