Christine Baker will once again be working for the state of California, albeit in a lesser capacity than the position she abruptly resigned last spring.
Gov. Jerry Brown on Thursday appointed Baker to fill the final vacancy on the Fraud Assessment Commission. She’ll be part of a seven-person team that is charged with allocating funding collected from employers to district attorneys throughout the state to investigate and prosecute workers’ compensation fraud.
Baker is working as a consultant with former Cal-OSHA Chief Len Welsh.
