Carrier Can Pierce Corporate Veil of Former Insured

A federal appellate court ruled that the workers’ compensation carrier for a now-defunct coal mine staffing company was entitled to pierce the corporate veil and void the transfer of the company’s assets to its three shareholder-directors.
