DWC Adopts Designated Doctor Billing, Reimbursement Rule Changes

The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation adopted new and amended rules it said will improve billing and reimbursement for medical exams and related services. The DWC said changes to 28 Texas Administrative Code Chapter 133 and Chapter 134 address designated doctor exams, required medical exams, work status reports, maximum medical improvement evaluations and impairment rating examinations.
