The California Division of Workers’ Compensation posted an order updating the Medical Treatment Utilization Schedule that adopts guidelines for the use of antiemetics.
The order incorporates the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine’s most recent treatment guidelines covering these medications, which are used to treat nausea and vomiting, into the clinical topics section of the MTUS.
The ACOEM Antiemetics Guideline was last updated March 27.
The updates apply to services provided on or after Oct. 26.
