A task force charged with studying the compensability of mental health claims filed by first responders in Utah would have until late 2025 to finalize any recommendations under legislation pre-filed ahead of the legislative session that starts in January.
State Rep. Karen Kwan, D-Murray, on Wednesday filed House Bill 25, which would require the Mental Health Protections for First Responders work group to present a final report, including any legislative recommendations, by Sept. 30, 2025.
