The latest data from the Florida Division of Workers’ Compensation shows that the number of claims for COVID-19 increased from December to January before dropping more than 90% in February.
The division reports 5,419 claims for COVID-19 were filed in January, a 6.3% increase over the 5,099 claims filed in December. Preliminary figures the division reported last month showed a nearly 25% drop in virus claims in the first month of 2022.
At the same time, the newest figures show that 389 COVID-19 claims were filed in February.
