A former employee of the U.S. Postal Service played in an hours-long competitive softball game after claiming that her work injuries prevented her from grasping objects or reaching above her shoulder, federal prosecutors say.
Lynn M. Allen of Marcy, New York, was indicted on charges of wire fraud, theft of government money and federal employees' compensation fraud, according to a report by Syracuse.com. The U.S. Attorney's Office for Northern New York is seeking recovery of $94,253.95 in workers' compensation benefits.
