New Formulary Should Save Payers Big Bucks

The most important bill California Gov. Jerry Brown signed into law during the 2015 legislative session (Assembly Bill 1124) calls for implementation of a prescription-drug formulary by July 1, 2017. For those of you unfamiliar with the concept, a formulary is a list of drugs that are okay to prescribe without meeting special criteria, such as preauthorization.
