BWC Rules Pending 'Commonsense' Review

The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation announced that proposed rules addressing death benefits and limitations on the filing of fee bills are pending a “commonsense” review. Proposed changes to the death benefit rules would revise language to clarify that a dependent must be a family member of the deceased employee, a spouse, lineal descendant, ancestor, brother or sister.
