The Nevada Workers’ Compensation Section reported in the winter edition of its newsletter that a little more than one-third of the claims for COVID-19 that were filed through Nov. 30 were accepted.
A total of 810 claims were filed and processed in the Claims and Regulatory Data System, also known as CARDS, according to an article in the Nevada Workers’ Compensation Chronicle.
The WCS reports 307 of those claims — 38% — were accepted and 503, or 62%, were denied.
