Indoor Heat Rules Take Effect

The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health announced that new indoor heat safety standards took effect immediately after being approved by the Office of Administrative Law. Cal/OSHA’s "Heat Illness Prevention in Indoor Places of Employment" rule requires most employers to take steps to protect workers from heat illness in indoor workplaces where the temperature reaches 82 degrees.
