The California Division of Workers’ Compensation said it launched an electronic filing pilot program for doctors’ first reports of injuries.
The pilot is available on a voluntary basis for physicians who agree to submit the “Form 5021 Doctor’s First Report of Occupational Illness or Injury” electronically as opposed to filing paper forms. Large volume providers, such as hospitals, are also invited to participate through an electronic data interchange submission, the division said.
