A Louisiana appellate court ruled that a worker’s fiancée and unborn child were entitled to benefits after he fell to his death from a helicopter. Case: Perez v. Irby Construction Co., No. 19-454, 01/29/2020, published. Facts: Travis Chiokai worked for the Irby Construction Co. In November 2017, Chiokai was working on electrical lines while attached to a "long line" from a helicopter.
