Company Provides Free Injury Coverage for Gig Drivers

Drivers for restaurant-delivery service Caviar are the latest gig-economy workers to be offered occupational accident coverage through OneBeacon Insurance. Caviar announced on July 26 that it would provide the coverage free of charge to all of its delivery drivers. “Occupational accident insurance is live from the minute a courier accepts an order for delivery through the minute they complete the delivery,” the company said.
