Group Self-Insurance Trust's Claim for Payment of Assessment Revived

A New York appellate court overturned a finding that a group self-insurance trust’s claim for payment from a former member was time-barred. Case: Matter of Borgia v. SCO Family of Services, No. 2021-08843, 03/26/2025, published. Facts: In 2006, SCO Family of Services agreed to become a member of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn Workers' Compensation Trust, a group self-insurance trust.
