The California Division of Workers’ Compensation on Monday announced that it plans to readopt emergency rules that allow remote medical-legal evaluations.
The division in May adopted emergency rules allowing med-legal evaluations using telehealth services and modifying some deadlines. The rules extended to 90 days from 60 days the time period during which a med-legal exam can be scheduled or rescheduled, and they added 15 days to all time frames for preparing and serving medical-legal reports.
