After almost five years of rulemaking, court decisions, hearings and more hearings, Florida stakeholders appear to be inching closer to medical reimbursement dispute rules that all sides can live with.
More than 70 people tuned in via video conference to a hearing held Wednesday by the Division of Workers' Compensation. Medical providers and representatives for insurance carriers haggled over the dispute resolution process in the latest set of proposed rules, but their differences appeared to be relatively minor, and regulators said they were amenable to some of the suggested changes.
