The Mississippi Senate unanimously passed a bill to correct an errant statutory reference to the agency that administers the state's workers' compensation system.
The agency was officially renamed as the Workers' Compensation Commission when lawmakers in 2012 passed legislation scrapping the old name.
However, Section 71-3-85 still references the Workmen's Compensation Commission and also refers to enforcement of "workmen's compensation law."
