Kamin, ReporterState regulators in Minnesota are launching a patient advocacy program for workers' compensation claimants considering back surgery, believed to be one of the first programs of its kind in the nation. The advocacy program was mandated by Senate Bill 1234, signed into law by Gov. Mark Dayton on May 16 that made several changes to the state's workers' compensation system.
