A wearable device that alerts workers if they’re at risk of straining their backs is expected to arrive on the market next year, joining a growing number of wearable technologies intended to increase workplace safety.
The belt-worn device, from a New York-based startup called Kinetic, has been tested by three large employers with encouraging results, according to Haytham Elhawary, Kinetic’s cofounder and chief executive officer.
