Wyoming lawmakers will consider legislation to extend the exclusion of COVID-19 claims from employers’ experience rating modification factors when the Legislature convenes the 2022 session Monday.
The Legislature in 2020 passed a bill that excluded from experience modifications, also known as X-mods, the costs of COVID-19 claims filed on or before Dec. 30, 2020.
House Bill 59, prefiled by the Joint Appropriations Committee, would exclude the cost of COVID-19 claims filed by March 31, 2023, for dates of injury between Jan. 1, 2020, and March 31, 2022.
