The one-year statute of limitations to file a workers’ compensation claim in California would be extended to allow victims of the terrorist shooting at the Inland Regional Center to file claims through the start of 2025, under recently amended legislation.
The bill would also say that approving requested medical treatment without modification satisfies the requirement to conduct utilization review. And it would prioritize scheduling hearings for comp claims resulting from a domestic terror attack over other types of claims.
