Amended Bill Would Extend Claim Filing Deadline for IRC Shooting Victims

The one-year statute of limitations to file a workers’ compensation claim in California would be extended to allow victims of the terrorist shooting at the Inland Regional Center to file claims through the start of 2025, under recently amended legislation. The bill would also say that approving requested medical treatment without modification satisfies the requirement to conduct utilization review.
