TDI: Rate Filings Due June 1

The Texas Department of Insurance reminded workers’ compensation carriers that rate filings for policies incepting on or after July 1 are due by June 1. TDI accepted the National Council on Compensation Insurance advisory loss cost filing proposing an overall average decrease of 7.4%, effective July 1. Carriers can use their own classification relativities or the NCCI loss costs. State law requires that carriers file all rates and supplementary rating information with the department.
