The Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission announced that a new validation step when uploading documents through WebFile will go into effect Thursday.
Before completing an upload, users will be asked to review selected documents and confirm they belong to the correct claim. Users will have to enter the last four characters of the claim number before documents can be uploaded.
The commission said the extra step is intended to prevent documents from being uploaded to the wrong claim.
