Union Local Apprenticeship Program, OSHA Form Alliance

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150 Apprenticeship and Skill Improvement Program in Wilmington, Ill., have formed an alliance to develop training and education programs that they hope will result in safer and healthier workplaces.The IUOE Local 150 Apprenticeship and Skill Improvement Program has a training program with more than 600 apprentices.The union frequently assists OSHA by hosting tower crane training to the OSHA regional area offices in the Midwest.Gary Anderson, OSHA area director in Calumet City, said the ag...
