A committee in the Maryland House of Delegates is scheduled to hear testimony March 26 on a bill that would authorize the Workers' Compensation Commission to create a pharmaceutical fee schedule.
Senate Bill 306, by Sen. Pamela Beidle, D-Anne Arundel, would require the commission to regulate fees and charges for prescription drugs by Sept. 1, 2026.
The bill would require that payments for prescription drugs be limited to an index or indexes that consider acquisition cost, calculated on a per-unit basis, as of the date a drug was dispensed.
