Fruit Company Fined More Than $150K for Violating COVID-19 Safety Rules

The Department of Labor and Industries has fined a Yakima-area fruit company more than $150,000 for violating COVID-19 safety regulations. L&I fined Evans Fruit Co. for “two willful serious violations for not following workplace COVID-19 mask and social distancing requirements,” L&I said in a news release. The department said it was the third time in recent months that Evans Fruit Co. has been fined for COVID-related offenses.
