Older employees are making up a larger segment of the workforce, a trend that is likely to influence workers’ comp claim costs and outcomes, a One Call Care Management vice president said this week.
Older employees may experience a loss of muscle, strength and stamina; their eyesight and hearing may also decline. They’re also susceptible to losing their balance and falling, Kevin Glennon, One Call’s vice president of clinical programs, said during a presentation at the California Coalition on Workers’ Compensation Annual Conference in Anaheim.
