Committee Schedules Hearing on Licensed Nurse Bill

Florida lawmakers are scheduled to hear testimony today on a bill that would authorize an employer or workers’ compensation carrier to use a licensed nurse registry to provide attendant care services for an injured worker. The Senate Committee on Health Policy will take up Senate Bill 880, introduced by the Senate Committee on Banking and Insurance, during the hearing starting at 10 a.m. Attendant care includes services ranging from skilled nursing to unskilled tasks, such as bathing, dressing and administration of medications.
