Comp Division Accepting Comments on BRC Rules

The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation is accepting public comments on proposed rules to implement recent legislation allowing the agency to continue holding remote benefit review conferences after pandemic restrictions are lifted. The proposed rules would allow benefit review conferences to be held over video as well as telephone and would declare the agency will hold BRCs virtually unless a requesting party shows “good cause” for an in-person proceeding.
