The New Mexico Workers’ Compensation Administration is proposing rules that would require all claims administrators to electronically submit first and subsequent reports of injury starting Jan. 1.
A rule proposal package released Tuesday would mandate that all injury reports be submitted through the WCA’s website or through an Electronic Data Interchange trading partner.
Currently, claims administrators submitting 100 or more notice of benefit payment forms must file first reports of injury electronically, while smaller shops can file paper versions of the report.
