The Montana state House of Representatives on Tuesday passed a bill that would define “prosthesis” and “prosthetic device” to mean an artificial substitute for a missing body part.
The House voted 66-33 to pass House Bill 446, by Rep. Ron Marshall, R-Hamilton, a bill that proponents said codifies current law and opponents say would deprive some workers of continuing coverage for their injuries. The bill would define "prosthesis" and "prosthetic device" to be "an artificial substitute for a missing body part."
