Dems Want COVID Presumption for Federal Wildfire Workers

Three U.S. senators, all Democrats, have introduced legislation that would create a presumption that federal wildfire workers who contract COVID-19 during fire season do so in the line of duty. The bill, which has yet to be assigned a number, also would require wildland firefighters to be tested for the virus before starting work this season, Sen. Ron Wyden, of Oregon, said in a news release.
